Dukhan Highway

Dukhan Highway

Backed by deep engineering expertise, we deliver critical infrastructure, from metros, roads and bridges to advanced water treatment, connecting communities and supporting a more resilient future.

Paving the Way for a Global Stage

Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar transformed its national infrastructure. The Dukhan Highway was a cornerstone of this modernisation, replacing a two-lane road with a high-capacity, four-lane dual carriageway. This high-speed corridor is essential for the nation, facilitating the efficient movement of people and goods across the desert landscape.

The project is more than a road; it is a sophisticated utility corridor. A complex network of underground pipelines for water, electricity, and oil lies beneath the asphalt, ensuring the highway serves a dual purpose. The design includes five major interchanges, underpasses, and bridges to maintain smooth traffic flow while respecting the region’s unique environment.

  • 42.5km four lane dual carriageway featuring five major interchanges and service roads.
  • Integrated underground utility corridor for national water, electricity, and oil distribution.
  • Top winner at the 2011 Construction Week Qatar Awards for attention to detail.
