Gamuda was born in a single rented room, starting as a sub-contractor with a refusal to fail.

Pahang Tenggara Road Project, where we carved 26 miles of road through the Pahang jungle for the Bahau–Keratong Highway.

Wisdom at Lumut
Secured the Lumut Naval Harbour, combining modern engineering with traditional wisdom. Delivered the project ahead of schedule.

The Gold Standard
Awarded the Class A Contractor Licence, enabling us to bid for the nation’s largest projects.

Proved our resilience by taking on the remote Kuala Jengkai project during a recession.

Secured the Federal Route 1 (Simpang Pulai to Pos Slim project), a massive undertaking West Coast connecting to Cameron Highlands.

Planted our flag in Damansara Jaya, acquiring Lot 55 as our official Headquarters – the nerve centre of our expansion.

Delivered the 329km Electrified Double-Tracking Project (EDTP) linking Perak, Kedah, Penang and Perlis, reducing travel time by two-thirds.

Founded the world’s first Tunnelling Training Academy (TTA) dedicated to TBM technology and long-term viability of the local workforce.

The world’s first Variable Density tunnel boring machine (VD TBM) was launched for the MRT Kajang Line, designed to overcome Kuala Lumpur’s complex geology.

MRT Line 1’s success paved the way for MRT Line 2. Both lines extend over 100km, connecting over 3.2 million people.
