Digital Next-Generation IBS
Our Next-Generation Digital IBS is reshaping construction for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. By combining cloud design, BIM and robotic automation, it delivers faster builds, flexible designs and superior quality. With sustainability is at its core, our Banting and Sepang factories run on renewable energy, with rooftop solar powering AI-IoT systems and robotics.
Our factories boast Malaysia’s largest manufacturing capacity, supporting major projects like AIMS Cyberjaya Blocks 2 and 3, a hyperscale data centre at Elmina Business Park and a growing portfolio of other data centre developments.

Next-Generation Digital IBS
Our fully integrated digital ecosystem enables the delivery of high-quality residential, commercial and infrastructure developments through cloud-based design, BIM integration, robotic automation, and advanced production, offering design flexibility, faster construction and superior finishes.
Building Information Modelling (BIM)
BIM integrates technology and workflows into a single virtual modelling system, replacing fragmented drawings. This enables stronger collaboration, better risk management, cost savings and higher productivity.
Bringing Designs to Life
We developed BIMAR, our proprietary augmented reality platform that overlays virtual design and construction elements onto live site visuals, allowing users to experience a project virtually before construction begins, enabling early issue resolution. With cloud-enabled reporting, BIMAR is scalable and customisable for rapid deployment across large, complex infrastructure projects.
Transforming Rail Delivery
Building on this, we introduced Southeast Asia’s first 3D Laser Scan–BIM method. It reduces manual work, lowers errors and safety risks, and unlocks detailed 3D project views that were not possible before. This approach is changing how rail projects are built, moving the industry away from heavy manual labour and limited visualisation.

Autonomous Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM)
Gamuda’s world-first autonomous TBM is a huge upgrade from the VD TBM. Developed in-house, the autonomous TBM utilises artificial intelligence algorithms for autonomous control of TBM operations through a plug-and-play system.
It leverages real-time data to steer, advance, excavate and slurry sub-systems with minimal human input. The result is safer tunnelling, enhanced cost efficiency, faster response times, and higher accuracy. Our autonomous TBM has secured international contracts with Gamuda, introducing the technology for the first time to Australia, Singapore and Taiwan.

TI brings all tunnelling data together on a single platform, giving site teams real-time visibility and access to advanced tools to support better decision-making and more efficient project delivery.

Variable Density Tunnel Boring Machine (VD TBM)
An industry first, the versatile VD TBM offers multiple tunnelling modes and the unique ability to adjust slurry density for different ground conditions.
Developed for the challenges faced during the SMART Tunnel project, it achieved a remarkable 95 percent reduction in sinkhole incidents during the construction of the MRT Kajang Line, highlighting its effectiveness in ground control. The VD TBM was optimised for the MRT Putrajaya Line, laying the foundation for our next breakthrough – the autonomous TBM.

The unified platform allows seamless collaboration between multidisciplinary and regional teams, accelerates project completion time and keeps within budget and meets global standards.

Gamuda AI Academy
We launched the Gamuda AI Academy in 2024 to equip Malaysians with world-class training, industry-leading technology and expert mentorship to master full-stack AI. The programme develops a new generation of skilled professionals and AI innovators, marking another step in bridging the AI talent gap in support of the nation’s digital transformation roadmap.
