DT Infrastructure and Edify Energy Strengthen Renewable Partnership with North Queensland Solar Projects

DT Infrastructure (DTI) has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Edify Energy (Edify) to deliver the Ganymirra and Majors Creek solar and battery hybrid projects in North Queensland. This announcement further strengthens a successful partnership between DTI and Edify as a key contributor to Queensland’s renewable energy future.

Located in the Townsville region on the traditional lands of the Bindal People, the projects in aggregate comprise 360 MWp of solar generation, a 300 MW / 1,200 MWh integrated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a new substation and associated transmission connection infrastructure. Together, the assets will provide reliable renewable energy and grid support to Queensland’s energy needs.

DT Infrastructure CEO, John Anderson, remarked how this announcement demonstrated DTI’s ability to safely deliver complex renewable energy projects.

“Projects like Ganymirra and Majors Creek are another demonstration of how renewable generation and large-scale battery storage are working together to deliver a more resilient and reliable electricity network,” said John.

“We’re proud to be bringing our proven experience that will make a lasting contribution to Queensland’s energy future, while working closely with the Bindal People, local businesses and the wider Townsville community.”

At peak construction the project is expected to support approximately 400 jobs in addition to opportunities for local businesses and suppliers, ensuring the economic benefi ts of the investment are shared across the Townsville region.

Early engineering and pre-construction activities are underway, with major construction expected to commence in the third quarter of 2026.
