For decades, Coffs Harbour has been congested by heavy traffic from the Pacific Highway.

As the final link in the route between Hexham and the Queensland border, the Coffs Harbour bypass allows this coastal city to breathe.

Funded by the federal and state government on an 80:20 basis, this project is the region’s largest infrastructure undertaking.

In a 50-50 joint venture with Ferrovial Construction, we are delivering this design-and-construct contract. The 14km route bypasses the CBD and urban centers, returning local streets to the community.

The project involves building a four-lane divided highway, upgrading the existing Pacific Highway at Korora and Boambee, building three tunnels through the challenging ridge line and three grade-separated interchanges for safer local access.

Our commitment goes beyond the road surface. Working with Transport for NSW, we are providing local access roads, a new bus interchange, and a pedestrian footbridge for the local primary school.

Once complete, the bypass will strengthen the connection across the state border and unlock the true economic potential of the region.

This is not just a road; it is a critical upgrade that supports the future of the Mid North Coast, creating a quieter, safer, and more connected Coffs Harbour for generations to come.
