CR7 Station and Tunnels, Cross Island Line Phase 1

Xiaogang–Linyuan Line Civil Works and Electromechanical Facilities Project

Backed by deep engineering expertise, we deliver critical infrastructure, from metros, roads and bridges to advanced water treatment, connecting communities and supporting a more resilient future.

A Strategic Breakthrough: Delivering Singapore's CR7 Station and Tunnels

Securing the contract to build the CR7 Station and Tunnels, awarded by the Land Transport Authority (LTA), is a positive breakthrough for us. It stands as a powerful testament to Gamuda's strategic business advancement within our key target markets.

Delivering a fully integrated underground transit hub within a densely populated zone is a significant engineering and logistical feat. Marking our second major infrastructure foray in Singapore, this development presents a vital opportunity to contribute directly to the national agenda. We are proud to drive major infrastructure investments that will fundamentally benefit both current and future generations.

Engineering a Seamless Urban Artery

To navigate this complex urban environment, our comprehensive construction scope moves far beyond standard excavation. The CR7 Station is a critical component of the MRT Cross Island Line (Phase 1), integrating seamlessly into a wider 12-station network engineered to serve key residential and industrial areas, including Loyang, Tampines, Pasir Ris, CR7, Hougang, Serangoon North, and Ang Mo Kio.

Having commenced works in the second quarter of 2022, with an expected completion in 2030, this project is meticulously designed to do far more than simply move people:

  • Empowering Communities: The CRL will be Singapore’s eighth and longest fully-underground MRT line at more than 50 kilometres long when fully completed. It will serve the existing and future developments in the eastern, western and north-eastern corridors, linking major hubs such as the Jurong Lake District, Punggol Digital District and Changi.
  • Driving Economic Connectivity: The station is strategically positioned to improve access to vital industrial areas, emerging business hubs, and public leisure parks.
  • Supporting the National Vision: We remain committed to supporting Singapore's long-term transport infrastructure development and contributing to future projects that enhance the nation's connectivity. We will continue to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects while strengthening our local capabilities and regional presence.
