Securing New South Wales’ Energy Future

As part of advancing Australia's ambitious carbon reduction targets, DT Infrastructure (DTI) has been awarded a landmark contract by Lightsource bp to deliver the massive Goulburn River Solar Farm.

Delivering a renewable energy project of this immense scale is a significant engineering and logistical feat. To navigate the complexities of this regional deployment, DTI’s comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) scope moves beyond standard installations. They are tasked with meticulously designing and constructing the complete civil, structural and electrical infrastructure required to bring this solar powerhouse to life.

Driving the Green Energy Transition

This approach allows us to weave sustainable infrastructure into the regional landscape, driving positive outcomes for the local community while firmly supporting the state’s energy transition. Once site access commences in January 2025, DTI will be laying the groundwork for a facility that will fundamentally fortify the NSW electricity grid.

The impact of the Goulburn River Solar Farm will be transformative:

  • Massive Generation Capacity: Boasting a 585 MWp capacity, the farm will generate enough clean, renewable energy to reliably power approximately 225,000 homes.
  • Significant Carbon Reduction: The project is expected to cut carbon emissions by a staggering 910,000 tonnes annually, contributing significantly to Australia’s long-term sustainability goals.
  • Regional Economic Growth: Beyond delivering cleaner energy, the development is designed to actively enhance economic opportunities, providing vital jobs and long-term benefits for the Upper Hunter region.
