Sydney Metro West – Stations Package West
Sydney Metro West
- Stations Package West
Backed by deep engineering expertise, we deliver critical infrastructure, from metros, roads and bridges to advanced water treatment, connecting communities and supporting a more resilient future.
Powering Sydney’s Growth: Metro West – Stations Package West
Gamuda Engineering has been appointed to deliver the AUD2.7 billion (approximately RM7.32 billion) Sydney Metro West - Stations Package West, a vital component of the 24-kilometre Sydney Metro West line connecting Greater Parramatta to Sydney’s Central Business District (CBD).
This milestone marks Gamuda’s single largest project win to date in Australia and its second major Sydney Metro contract, following the 2022 award of the AUD2.16 billion (approximately RM6.5 billion) Sydney Metro West - Western Tunnelling Package.
Stations Package West includes the design and construction of five new metro stations along the Sydney Metro West alignment: Westmead, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock, and The Bays.
The scope includes the construction of station boxes, entrances and access points, station fit-out works and integration with surrounding precincts.
Gamuda will act as the Principal Contractor for the project, while Laing O’Rourke and Gamuda Group’s wholly owned subsidiary, DT Infrastructure, will join as delivery partners. Detailed design and early works began in April 2026 and major construction is scheduled to start by the end of 2026.
Creating People-Focused Transport Hubs
The new stations will form a key part of the Sydney Metro West network, improving connections between communities across Sydney and supporting future growth. Each station will be designed to respond to its unique neighbourhood, creating welcoming, people-focused transport hubs.
