The Sitra Causeway Bridges serve as a vital lifeline between the capital city of Manama and the islands of Nabih Saleh and Sitra. This project replaces aging, thirty year old infrastructure with a modern transport system that fuels Bahrain's rapidly growing economy.

The new four lane dual carriageway provides a robust and high capacity transit corridor. It is specifically engineered to withstand the challenging marine environment of the Gulf, with a design lifespan of up to 120 years.

Delivering this project required navigating intense logistical hurdles. We maintained full traffic flow on the original bridge throughout the construction period to ensure the capital remained connected. Our teams also managed the removal of deep, unforeseen silt deposits and protected a dense network of underground utilities at the main junction.

The causeway remains one of the most strategic road links in the country. It streamlines the daily commute for thousands of residents and ensures that the capital is seamlessly integrated with its neighbouring islands.
