In its 15th year of recognising the best performing and top responsible organisations, The Edge Billion Ringgit Club (BRC) 2024 has recognised Gamuda with four prestigious awards:

- Construction: Highest Growth in Profit After Tax Over Three Years
- Best Corporate Responsibility Initiatives: Big Cap Companies RM10b to RM40b Market Capitalisation
The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Diraja Anwar bin Ibrahim presented the award to Gamuda Group Managing Director Dato’ Lin Yun Ling during the award ceremony on 23 August 2024.
The Edge BRC awards are highly esteemed in Corporate Malaysia, with a rigorous evaluation process for Bursa Malaysia-listed companies valued at RM1 billion or more. There are 181 members in the club this year. The evaluation criteria for the coveted Company of the Year are based on qualitative and quantitative components: returns to shareholders over three years (20 percent), growth in profit after tax over three years (30 percent), and returns on equity over three years (20 percent) and corporate responsibility commitments (30 percent).
There are 48 sectoral corporate awards based on three categories (Highest Return on Equity, Highest Growth in Profit, and Highest Returns to Shareholders) for 16 sectors. The Highest Growth in Profit After Tax award recognises our consistent profitability from FY2020 to FY2023, factoring in growth and stability. The calculation is also subject to a risk-weight factor component to recognise consistency in profit delivery.
Meanwhile, the Best Corporate Responsibility Initiatives award is evaluated based on a company ESG’s commitment.
All results are independently verified by Deloitte Malaysia, ensuring transparency and credibility.
