Gamuda UK

Gamuda’s journey into the United Kingdom (UK) began in 2019, positioning us at the forefront of the UK’s most promising real estate sectors. Our UK strategy focuses on Quick Turnaround Projects (QTP) with a mix of premium commercial offices, build-to-sell residential properties and Purpose-Built Student Accommodations (PBSA).

Breaking ground in January 2025, 75 London Wall will be redeveloped by the Gamuda and Castleforge Partners joint venture with a GDV of GBP1.2 billion (RM7 billion). The landmark redevelopment will transform the building into Grade-A sustainable top-tier office spaces of 450,000 square feet with the best ESG standards – BREEAM ‘Outstanding’, WELL Core ‘Platinum’, and NABERS UK 5 Star Design. Located in the heart of London’s financial district, the former Deutsche Bank headquarters will feature new commercial units alongside cultural and open, green spaces.

Gamuda’s broader PBSA portfolio strategy pushes towards building 3,000 student beds across the UK by 2029. The GBP100 million (RM603 million) Woolwich PBSA Phase 1 development with 299 beds began in 2024 and is set for practical completion in 2026, while the GBP41.5 million (RM239.3 million) Woolwich PBSA Phase 2 expansion in 2025 will add 120 beds. The scheme is scheduled for completion in Q4 2026. This brings the total to 419 beds across both phases with a combined gross development value of GBP144.5 million (RM833.1 million). Meanwhile, the 492-bed City Wharf PBSA is targeted to welcome students by the 2026/27 academic year.

Featuring an architectural design inspired by the area’s vernacular mansion blocks, West Hampstead Central pays tribute to English heritage and contemporary design. The joint venture project with Astir Living Ltd enjoys a prime location with many of the capital’s top attractions and neighbourhoods located within walking and biking distance, or a quick tube ride away.

The Aldgate development is a joint venture project involving the off-market acquisition of 35a Commercial Road, Aldgate, London E1 1LB, in partnership with YOO Development - part of the international YOO Group (the world’s largest non-hotel residential brand).
