DT Infrastructure awarded contract to deliver Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm

DT Infrastructure (DTI) has been awarded the full Balance of Plant scope for the Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm project in the Mid North region of South Australia. This announcement is a further demonstration of DTI’s commitment to leading Australia’s renewable energy transition.

The 256MW utility-scale wind farm, developed by Aula Energy and Renewable Project Services, is located 180km north of Adelaide and is scheduled to commence construction early 2026, with operations expected to begin late 2028.

DT Infrastructure Chief Executive Officer, John Anderson, said the company is proud to contribute to such an important project and to once again be partnering with Aula Energy.

“We are proud to be delivering critical renewables infrastructure that will support a clean energy future, create local jobs and provide long-term benefits to surrounding communities,” said John.

“This milestone also cements an important partnership for the business, once again collaborating with Aula Energy to deliver another major wind farm. Using our delivery experience from the Boulder Creek Wind Farm project, currently in delivery, we can leverage insights and drive efficiencies on Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm.”

With 42 wind turbines, Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm will become a major new source of clean energy, capable of powering more than 195,000 South Australia homes. The project will also generate significant economic benefits to the region, including the creation of 300 jobs during construction.

This contract award follows an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) early-work program to support project planning, preliminary engineering, geotechnical studies, environmental assessments and technical investigations needed to advance the project’s design.

Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm has been shaped through extensive consultation with regional industry, local businesses and community stakeholders. Engagement programs are already underway to drive procurement opportunities, workforce participation and sustained economic benefits for the region throughout both the construction and operational phases.

The project team will begin mobilising in anticipation of commencing works at the start of 2026.
