Naim Gamuda (NAGA) JV Sdn Bhd has secured the Northern Coastal Highway, Limbang Work Package – Section 1 in Sarawak, with a contract value of RM1.13 billion.
Appointed as the main contractor by the Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA), a Sarawak state government agency, the project will be undertaken by the 70:30 joint venture between Naim Holdings Berhad and Gamuda, respectively.
The build-only contract covers:
- 14.7 km four-lane dual carriageway highway
- Bridges
- Flyover
- Earthworks and other associated works
The Limbang Work Package – Section 1 forms part of the larger 87.96 km Northern Coastal Highway, designed to connect major towns such as Miri, Limbang and Lawas via an alternative domestic route. This alignment will significantly shorten the travel distance and time from Brunei to Limbang Town.
In addition, the Northern Coastal Highway will complement the Pan Borneo Highway, with its WPC-04 package also being undertaken by Gamuda, offering a critical link across Sarawak’s central and southern regions, and providing seamless access to Sabah and Brunei through the Merapok border.
