Building on our strong presence in Australia, we have signed a landmark agreement with local Tasmanian landowners through our wholly owned Australian subsidiary, Gamuda Holdings Pty Ltd, to co-develop Weasel Solar Farm and Cellars Hill Wind Farm in Central Tasmania.

With a combined capacity of 600 MW of wind and solar energy generation and up to 600 MW of battery storage (BESS), the projects are led by the Downie Family, who have held pastoral land for over 200 years alongside development partner Alternate Path.

As the Central Tasmania portfolio represents our first significant investment in renewable energy development in Australia, Gamuda will take an equity stake in the portfolio to secure development rights for the current and future projects and deliver them under sole-source Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts.

The agreement further aligns with our energy strategy to become a leading end-to-end renewable energy developer, builder, and owner of energy assets to accelerate Australia’s clean energy future, building upon our ongoing success of Goulburn River Solar Farm and Boulder Creek Wind Farm since 2024.

The planning process has been undertaken in close collaboration with local landowners, community and government, being mindful of the local environment as well as delivering local jobs and benefits to the community, including energy rebates to households within a 12km radius of the portfolio.

Constructions of both Weasel Solar Farm and Cellars Hill Wind Farm are estimated to commence in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
