Gamuda broke ground on the Xizhi Donghu Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) on 20 March. Awarded in October 2024 by the New Taipei City Government, the RM4.3 billion project with additional works of RM10.8 billion is its seventh and largest win to date in Taiwan.

Gamuda and the Negeri Sembilan State Government officiated the Port Dickson Data Centre Infrastructure Hub on 9 January 2025.

The New Taipei City Government awarded the Xizhi Donghu MRT project to a 75:15:10 unincorporated joint venture between Gamuda, MiTAC Information Technology Corp and Dong Pi Co Limited. The RM4.3 billion main design and build contract, along with an already determined additional works contract worth RM10.8 billion, is estimated to be completed within seven years.

With a significant 75 percent share within the JV, Gamuda’s share of the contract value is RM3.2 billion, while its 75 percent share of the additional works contract is worth approximately RM8.1 billion.
